– THE BRIEF –

A poster is needed to promote a series of community consultation sessions that are occurring across the municipality. Using the following text, please design a document that will excite and encourage people to participate in the community consultation sessions. What type of look or feel would you create, while keeping it on-brand with Council's existing collateral?

– The SOLUTION –

I designed a poster in-keeping with existing styling elements found on Greater Shepparton City Council website and YouTube channel. I used corporate font (Proxima Nova) and colours (Blue: PMS 285 & Green: PMS 3288) to keep consistency across Council publications.

I felt it was important to use typographic hierarchy to help organise type and establish an order of importance within the content, this helps the reader to easily navigate their way through the document.

I introduced a subtle calendar date icon as a visual reference point to help seperate the different days each planning session were to be held. I also included subtle icon for social media to help reduce the amount of text content presented on page. 

I included an 'animated' version (above) which could be used in digital formats and .PDF version (download below) used for print. For the purpose of this exercise I created an A4 print version for you to easily print if required. The intended size of the poster would be at lest A3.
